Fight against cybercrime means not only monitoring what happens in our environment, but also monitor what happens outside our borders, to identify new threats and attack patterns that could be used against our information systems. This practice is called Information gathering, and can be applied to retrieve hidden information in our systems, as well as information publicly available on the network or in the dark-net (deep web).

This practice is called Information gathering, and can be applied to retrieve hidden information in our systems, as well as information publicly available on the network or in the dark-net (deep web).

This subject aims to complement the knowledge of cybersecurity of students and encourage collaboration among them in the search for information on different subjects related to computer security, as they should do in their professional activity, to defend the assets of the companies on which they work.

This on-line course is intended to complement the face to face lectures made by the teacher, but it can also be an interesting tool to update the knowledge of experts in cybersecurity, without classroom introductions.
